About Morpeth Harriers

Run with a club that's been running for eighty years.

Morpeth Harriers & Athletic Club is one of the leading athletics clubs in the North of England. Founded in 1946, our roots are in cross country and road running, and we have won many titles and medals — both team and individual — at Northern and National Championships throughout the club's history.

We now have a synthetic track at King Edward VI School, Morpeth, enabling us to provide training facilities, coaching and competitive opportunities for track and field athletes too. Although we have major-games medallists and many county representatives within our ranks, we don't just cater for the elite.

There are lots of local events that everyone can take part in, whatever their standard — Harrier League cross country races, road races, and grass roots track and field meetings. We also host our own events, including our annual Morpeth 10K in June in partnership event organisers RunThrough.

Whether you're chasing a county vest, a sub-three marathon, or just looking for the right pair of legs to train alongside on a Tuesday evening — there's a place for you at Morpeth Harriers.
